Steve Wells, Managing Director

SPW Construction Engineering was founded in 2007 by myself, Steve Wells, now personally having over 30 years experience within the construction industry. 

It all started for me in 1992, when I commenced on a three year training agreement to become a site engineer with John Laing, one of the largest and most respected construction companies in the UK. John Laing were renowned for the quality of their training schemes and were able to provide me with an excellent start in the industry. Whilst undertaking my training, I was also able to study for a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Construction Management at the University of Wolverhampton, which I successfully completed in 1997. Of course, by this time, my training with John Laing had also been completed, enabling me to progress with my career as an engineer for a further 15 years with the company. During this time I worked on many exciting high profile construction projects, which ranged from building airports, high rise tower blocks, rail freight terminals and also several large scale land reclamation projects, gradually progressing through the ranks to ultimately take on the role as project engineer.

Having gained such invaluable training and experience over those years, I had the ability to set up my own company, SPW Construction Engineering, to provide a high quality, efficient and affordable land surveying and site engineering service to the industry. Now having over 15 successful years working with prestigious clients such as Laing O'Rourke, Costain and several well-known house builders, including Persimmon, Bloor and Bovis, I am certain that my business will be able to provide you with a surveying and engineering service that you can trust, helping you with your goals, or to deliver a successful project to your clients.
